Following in his father and grandfather's footsteps, Christophe Paume always knew what he wanted to do.  He grew up working in his father's shop in Toulouse, France, which housed fine pastry, chocolate, gelato, and bread.  After attending the CFA de Muret and receiving his first degree and Professional Aptitude Certificate, Christophe moved to Paris and worked at Entremet de France.

 

        Two years later he returned to the family business, remaining there for five years and completing his second degree, a "Brevet de Maitrise" (Master in Pastry).  He then left for Montreal to work at Patisserie de Gascogne and stayed for two years before returning to Toulouse and joining his father as co-owner for the next two years.

    Not wanting to stay in France, Christophe headed for ...Indiana??  Here Christophe met Carly, who at the time was working as a sales rep for the same chocolate company that he was making chocolate for.  In fall of 2008, they left the company to start planning a company of their own.

    Only knowing that they wanted warmer climates, they pulled out a map and decided to visit Charleston, SC.  Falling in love with the city instantly, they began planning and opened the boutique Mother's Day weekend of 2009 and they have been loving this charming city ever since.
